For five styling chairs, start looking at shops around 750–1,000 sq ft (70–93 m²). You’ll need a wash area, reception, storage and a restroom within that space too. Adding a facial room or bridal suite? Put it on the drawing now, before you commit to the shop.
Where Will Everything Go?
Give the layout a quick reality check: imagine a customer in every chair. Someone arrives early, a stylist wheels a trolley over and another customer heads to the wash area. There needs to be somewhere for each of them to go, along with a place for supplies and used towels.
Here’s a suggested division of a 900 sq ft shop. Use it to start a discussion with your designer; the restroom and other spaces still need checking against the premises and local requirements.

Get a measured plan of the space that belongs to the shop. Stairs, columns and shared access should be marked on it.
Before ordering: Use tape on the floor for the furniture outlines. Have one person sit at a marked station and another stand behind them; try walking past both with a trolley.
Planning the Five Styling Stations
Three chairs opposite two is one option for a wider room. In a narrow room, begin by drawing the stations down a wall. An island needs its own drawing, with people sitting on both sides, before you can compare it with the wall arrangement. Keep the trolley in each version.
Here are the questions to bring to the layout meeting:
-
Can the stylist get around the customer?
-
Where will the trolley sit during a service?
-
Will an open drawer block the next chair?
-
Can someone reach the wash area without interrupting a stylist?
The footrest counts as part of the chair when you mark out the floor. So does any extra length needed for reclining.
How Many Wash Units Will You Need?
Two wash units can go into the first plan. To decide whether they will be enough, use your own wash-and-reset times. If one cycle takes 15 minutes, two units have eight theoretical slots per hour. That example needs adjusting for the longer services and delays in your booking schedule. The wash area also needs room for the operator and access to the plumbing. Talk through those details with the installer.
What Should You Budget for Furniture?
For an early chair budget, previously published Salon Designers listings show selected hydraulic models around PKR 61,500–95,500 each. Five at those figures come to PKR 307,500–477,500. These older listing prices are useful for a first budget, but the pages now request a quote. Get one for the exact models before ordering.

The mirror and combined unit are published website examples. You don’t have to buy a combined wash/spa model if hair washing is all you need. For a worked example, five mirrors at PKR 55,700 cost PKR 278,500; two combined wash/spa units at PKR 164,000 add PKR 328,000. With the five chairs above, that comes to PKR 914,000–1,084,000 for those items alone. It is not a complete salon package: counters, tools and building work still need pricing.
Set money aside for the work around the furniture: counters, appliances, plumbing, electrics, cooling and installation. Add rent, the deposit and opening stock to your business budget.
How Can Salon Designers Help?
Bring us your measurements, service list and a budget. Salon Designers’ process begins with discussing the requirements and measuring the site, followed by layout options, 3D visualization and a defined construction scope. Your intended opening date belongs in that first conversation too. Browse our salon chairs and wash units, then ask what you can see at the showroom.
Get freight priced on the quote; the website’s free-shipping offer does not cover furniture. If a chair develops a fault, who will repair it? Ask that now, along with what the warranty pays for and any costs you would have to cover. Bring qualified local professionals to check the drains, power supply, ventilation and access before you take on the lease.
FAQs
Could I Use a 500 Sq Ft Shop?
Get a layout drawn before deciding. Once washing, a restroom, storage and room to move are included, you may find that fewer stations are a better choice for that shop.
Are Shampoo Chairs Part of the Five?
We’re counting five styling stations here. Tell the designer if your five chairs include two wash chairs, because that means the layout is for three stylists working at once.
Should I Choose Wall Stations or an Island?
For a narrow shop, wall stations are worth drawing first. Compare an island only after allowing for the occupied chairs, stylists and movement along both sides.
What Would Five Styling Chairs Cost?
Using the selected published prices, allow around PKR 307,500–477,500 for five. Get the current model prices confirmed, and ask what you’ll pay for delivery, assembly and any applicable tax.
Where Can I See Salon Furniture in Pakistan?
Salon Designers has an online shop and lists branches in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. Call with your shortlist of model names to find out what is on display.
Are Freight and Repairs Included?
Check the quote before paying: furniture does not qualify for free shipping. Get the freight price and the model’s warranty terms, including how a repair would be arranged in your city.
